The video producer is responsible for the overall production of video content for the Kenan Institute, serving on the frontlines of the institute’s marketing and translational research strategy. Producing more than 100 videos per year, the video producer captures interviews, covers events and crafts stories ranging from those promoting events and programs to nuanced explorations highlighting the thought leadership of the institute’s in-house and affiliated subject matter experts. The role requires a creative storyteller able to produce videos ranging in length, tone, aim and style to bolster the understanding of the work of the institute, its affiliated centers and UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School more broadly. S/he will work closely with Kenan Institute core leadership to craft the overall vision for video projects. This position will report to the External Affairs Director.

A successful candidate would be a gifted storyteller who can seamlessly juggle multiple projects and is familiar with scouting, shooting, interviewing, directing, producing, and editing high-quality, engaging videos, from concept to completion. Ideal candidates will demonstrate skills and experience commensurate with a bachelor’s degree in video production, multimedia communication, broadcast journalism or similar.
