WUNC Morning News Reporter - Temporary

North Carolina Public Radio WUNC, the public radio station licensed to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, is hiring a temporary Morning News Reporter.
The Morning News Reporter will provide content for newscasts and assist in producing its flagship morning program. The right candidate will be a confident troubleshooter and self-starter with strong news instincts and audio editing prowess. A successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to sift through information quickly and write clearly and accurately.
The reporter will work on WUNC’s Morning Edition broadcast with regular hours from 4:30 AM to 12:30 PM, M-F. The position is based at the station’s Chapel Hill studios, but the reporter will work remotely until further notice.
Required Qualifications: Associate’s degree in electronics and three years of progressive experience in a broadcast television, radio and emerging media engineering environment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
-Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism or related field.
-Public Radio experience
This temporary position is expected to last 6-11 months.
