Description:

The News Service of Florida is looking for a journalist with significant hard-news experience who can break stories and report on the workings of Florida government and politics. We are a subscription-based wire service whose stories are used by newspapers, television stations and radio stations from Pensacola to Miami, along with going straight to lawmakers, government agencies, lobbying firms, trade groups and businesses. While we are looking for a reporter who will add to our daily print coverage, the ideal candidate also would have some experience in broadcast journalism. A minimum of five years of reporting experience desired. The News Service is based in Tallahassee and has been covering Florida government and politics since 2008. Please submit a cover letter, resume and five clips to Executive Editor Jim Saunders at j.saunders@newsserviceflorida.com.
