D.C. RESIDENTS PREFERRED! The Outlaw Report, a weekly newsletter, and online publication, is looking for a D.C. based journalist interested in reporting on cannabis news and policy in D.C. in a freelance capacity. Established in February of 2020, The Outlaw Report is the only online publication focused exclusively on cannabis news and policy in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. The ideal candidate for this position is someone with a unique voice who is familiar with cannabis laws/policy and able to work with minimal direction and oversight. At the outset, we are looking for a reporter to contribute 1 story per week (350 - 500 words), with compensation set at $75 per piece. As The Outlaw Report grows, there will be opportunities for more contributions and more pay. This reporter may also have the opportunity to contribute to The Outlaw Report podcast, which is released twice a month. We are looking for a candidate to begin early next month. Lastly, we are seeking reporters who are interested in cannabis policy/news/industry/movement. All candidates will be interviewed by the Outlaw editor.
