Description:

The Facts, an 11,000-circulation five-day newspaper serving the Texas Gulf Coast for more than 100 years, is seeking the right person to be our primary photographer. The position requires knowledge of photography, including breaking news, feature, sports, events, studio and portraits, and photo editing using Adobe products. Organizational skills required, as the position will require managing stringer photographers. The photographer shoots for a variety of platforms including the newspaper, glossy magazines and online. Social media and/or marketing experience a plus. 

Expectations include photographing 3-5 assignments per workday and turning in pictures the same day. This could also include running out the breaking news. Other responsibilities include managing a team of stringers, staying abreast of the news budget and magazine assignments and potential video or writing opportunities. 

The position offers health benefits including dental, vision, etc., paid sick time, vacation and 401(k) with a 3 percent company match. Pay is hourly and eligible for overtime.
