The Reporter-Herald in Loveland, Colorado, is seeking a motivated reporter to cover city government, politics and other general assignment news in Loveland and surrounding communities. The successful candidate is a self-starter who is capable of producing multiple stories per day while developing longer enterprise pieces, and is as comfortable covering a house fire or neighborhood feature as he/she is covering a contentious city council meeting.


This reporter must be curious about the community and be capable of working with competing factions in city government.  This reporter needs to be a quick learner and have a solid grasp of AP style.  Additionally, this job requires regular early morning shifts that include online and social media posting, as well as the ability to take photos when necessary.  Coverage of night meetings is required, as are periodic weekend and holiday shifts.
