An established business magazine in the Upper Midwest may soon have an opening for its next editor. 

Our glossy product is delivered to 17,000 subscribers, mostly via direct mail but also through our e-edition service. Our magazine's goal is to tell the stories, explain the trends and inform readers about business happenings in our multi-state region. We strive to write high-level stories that are readable and relatable to our subscribers and advertisers. 

The editor of this magazine is a full-time position and a one-person show, in charge of stories, design and the accompanying website. The editor writes several stories throughout the month, but also assigns and oversees freelancers and organizes each edition for the pagination process, although actual layout is done by our company design hub. 

The editor also, at times, lends a hand to our sister publication. 

Full-time writing experience in the newspaper or magazine industry is necessary.

The editor is a member of a staff that includes a full-time sales department and reports to a publisher that also oversees another publication. Our company offers a competitive salary and an enviable PTO schedule.
