Each summer, Moment identifies and supports a talented young journalist who already has significant journalism experience. The fellow is an integral part of the small, hard-working Moment team and has the opportunity to learn how magazine journalism gets made.

The fellow is expected to:

  • Spearhead online editorial production: writing and editing online pieces to fit Moment’s content, style and tone, including writing, editing, production and management of Moment’s newsletter and other digital projects, as well as involvement in website development.
  • Lead digital outreach efforts: Drive audience engagement and support traffic goals by finding, testing and implementing new tools and strategies for growth and adjustment; Create a social media strategy with clear goals and objectives; expand Moment’s reach on social networks; increase traffic to Moment’s website; monitor data on website visitors through Google Analytics.
  • Fellows are also expected to help edit print/digital edition, and assist with a variety of other projects.
  • Desired Skills:
    • Previous reporting experience
    • Stellar writer
    • Comfort and experience with digital tools and platforms such as WordPress
    • Social-media mastery of at least three platforms
    • Positive attitude/Team player
    • Creative thinker
