Seeking an editor for downtown local papers: New Eastside News, Streeterville News and Westloop News. The candidate will have strong editorial and management ability and have a sound understanding of all aspects of creating print content from beginning to end: developing content, writing, layout and distribution.
New Eastside News and Streeterville News are monthly local Chicago newspapers with 20,000 print circulation. Candidate will have experience at established print and online news sources. Must possess an entrepreneurial spirit and have experience developing interesting editorial content for a local Chicago audience. Experience leading teams and project managment skills are a must. Expert in layout design and AP style is a must. Final-eyes editor experience on print or web platforms required.
The editor will primarily work from home office but will be required to attend in-person meetings downtown weekly in large boardroom with appropriate social distancing measures.
