The Virgin Islands Daily News, a Pulitzer Prize-winning newspaper, needs a copy editor comfortable with news design for a remote-work opportunity.

In addition to being familiar with InDesign, we are looking for an editor able to edit stories for length, accuracy, grammar, punctuation, spelling and AP style.

Please include with your resume several examples of headlines you have written and pages you have designed. We work with InDesign on a BLOX/Town News system, so familiarity with Blox is a plus, but not a requirement.

About us

The Virgin Islands Daily News is the newspaper of record in the U.S. and British Virgin Islands. We have a proud history of award-winning journalism. Along with numerous other honors, our staff has been honored with the national Associated Press Managing Editors Public Service Award; Associated Press Sports Editors awards for reporting; the Investigative Reporters and Editors award for investigative reporting; and the ABA Silver Gavel for investigative reporting on law enforcement and justice.

We are located on St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, a territory of the United States. St. Thomas is one of the world's top cruise destinations with vibrant culture, beautiful beaches and colorful coral reefs. Nearby, St. John is home to Virgin Islands National Park.

Not that interested in working remotely, but intrigued by the idea of joining us in paradise, we can talk about that too.
