Description:

Have you outgrown your current reporting job? Is it time for new challenges and growth as a journalist in one of America's great resorts and news centers?

City News Service, Inc., the nation's largest regional wire service, has an immediate opening for a full-time reporter covering all of the breaking news in the Palm Springs area.

Not only is Palm Springs a world-class resort area and a great place to live, it's one of the most active news centers anywhere. Breaking news is everywhere - courts, cops, government, culture, lifestyle, the economy, environment, immigration and more.   We're looking for someone with energy and dedication, professional print reporting experience and a college degree who already lives in the Southern California area. This is a gratifying, fast-paced position. There's an emphasis on courts coverage, but you'll be responsible for all other topics, too. You'll also be closely interacting with CNS subscribers in the Palm Springs market - broadcast, web and print. Speed is important for a wire service, but accuracy is our greatest concern.  Just about all of the major media in Southern California -- TV, radio, newspapers, digital and more -- depend on us for breaking local stories in Riverside, Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego counties.

You'll experience more about news and life than you ever thought possible. Find out more about CNS at www.SoCalNews.com. Email your resume - with cover letter - immediately to info@socalnews.com. Due to the volume of responses, we may not be able to respond to every application. CNS is an equal opportunity employer.
