Photographer/Reporter-Great Falls, MT

The Great Falls Tribune is looking for a motivated visual journalist who also possesses reporting skills and the ability to tell stories through multimedia.  The emphasis for this position is on visual journalism. Photography, videography and video editing skills are required.

This is a chance to exercise all of your storytelling muscles. While some photo and video assignments for other stories will be a part of the job, this journalist will mostly be a solo content creator, using all the skills in her or his toolbox to pull readers in and captivate them.

This journalist will be able to work both quick-turn, daily and weekly stories and some longer, more complex documentary stories — and have the time-management skills to work on longer projects around more immediate deadlines. People skills — both in meeting and cultivating news sources and in working as a member of a small team — are necessary.

This is a chance to do important work for Montana’s leading source of news — and contribute to the rebirth of a proud, legendary newspaper brand in a community hungry for local news.

The successful candidate will need good judgment, composure under deadline pressure and dedication to the success of the newspaper and web site.
