Independent Contractor (1099) - On-Camera Host, Finance & Investing

ETF Guide is seeking a polished, engaging on-camera host to lead interviews and discussions for original programming, including our First Look ETF series produced in partnership with the NYSE and other industry-focused content.

This fully remote position is ideal for candidates with strong communication skills, a professional on-camera presence, and an interest in financial markets, investing, business, and ETFs.

Responsibilities

• Host and conduct remote video interviews with investment professionals, ETF issuers, portfolio managers, market strategists, and other industry experts.
• Review assigned scripts, talking points, guest background materials, and show outlines.
• Deliver engaging, professional introductions, transitions, interview questions, and segment wrap-ups.
• Record high-quality video and audio content from a home studio environment.
• Collaborate with producers and editorial staff to ensure content meets production standards and deadlines.
• Represent the ETF Guide brand with professionalism and credibility.

Required Equipment

Candidates must maintain a professional home studio setup that includes:

• HD or 4K camera
• Dedicated external microphone
• Professional lighting
• Teleprompter
• Green screen or professional video background
• Reliable high-speed internet connection

Qualifications

• Strong verbal communication and interviewing skills
• Comfortable speaking on camera and engaging with guests in a conversational manner
• Ability to follow scripts while maintaining a natural presentation style
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
• Interest in finance, investing, economics, business, and financial markets

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior on-camera experience in digital media, television, financial media, podcasts, webinars, or live events
• Knowledge of ETFs, investing, portfolio construction, or financial markets
• Experience interviewing executives, subject matter experts, or financial professionals

Compensation

• Independent Contractor (1099)
• Remote position
• Paid on a per-assignment, per-show, or negotiated contractor basis
