Freelance Opportunities with the Butler Eagle
The Butler Eagle is seeking freelance writers, copy editors and designers to help support its coverage of Butler County, including in the communities of Mars, Cranberry Township, Butler, Slippery Rock and elsewhere. These opportunities are now available after the Eagle recently onboarded other freelancers into full or part-time positions with the Butler Eagle.
Writers: Whether you have an interest in covering community events, writing feature stories about interesting people and places or reporting happenings from government and school board meetings, send us your resume. Whether you're a college student or an experienced journalist looking for extra work, there's likely an opportunity here to match your skillset.
Copy editors/designers: Opportunities include copy editing news, community and special section stories and designing products like the Butler Eagle, Cranberry Eagle and Butler County Business Matters using Adobe InDesign.
Please send resumes and a letter of interest to tleturgey@butlereagle.com.
