Description:

The Eufaula Indian Journal, Oklahoma’s oldest newspaper, is seeking a full-time reporter/news writer/editor to join our newsroom.

This position covers local government, schools, community events, features and breaking news in a community where local journalism plays a vital role to serve and strengthen our communities. 

Requirements:

  • Strong writing and reporting skills
  • Ability to meet weekly deadlines 
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends to cover meetings and events

We’re a family-owned newspaper group of nine newspapers (3 twice-weekly / five weeklies) in five counties with deep roots in the communities that we serve.
