Description:
Executive Producer
News
21 News WFMJ is looking for a dedicated executive
producer. This position will oversee the production and news content of
all newscasts. This position will help to grow newscasts as it relates to
production and how the newscasts look and how they flow. This is NOT a
technical position. It does not include shooting or editing video.
The EP will work with the core management team on a daily basis to put
production into the individual news stories and into the newscasts themselves
as well as contributing to news content. It is a “storytelling”
position--how best to execute our product so people are engaged in it. 21
News is known as the “Watchdog Station.” We are not afraid to tackle the
complicated issues and this is a position for someone who is up to the
challenge of keeping viewers engaged in them. Besides the daily
operations, the EP will also help to coordinate news coverage for special
events and oversee branded content. This is someone who has some newsroom
experience and is creative and organized. WFMJ is locally owned and has
consistently provided the best local news coverage to the Mahoning and Shenango
Valleys for decades. WFMJ offers highly competitive pay and
benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and paid vacation. If you are
serious about pursuing a career in journalism, don't miss this opportunity to
join a great organization. Send resume, cover email, and references to Sheila
Miller, News Director, sheila@wfmj.com EOE.
