News Channel Nebraska is looking for a Multimedia Journalist/TV Reporter to join our Norfolk newsroom. This is a hands-on opportunity for a journalist who wants to get out into the community, find stories that matter, and tell them across television, digital and social platforms.

You'll do more than one thing here. You'll research and develop stories, conduct interviews, shoot video, write and produce news content, cover breaking news and live events, and have opportunities to appear on-air and anchor.

What You'll Do

• Find and report original local stories throughout northeast Nebraska
• Shoot, write, edit and produce television news stories
• Conduct interviews with community members, officials and newsmakers
• Cover breaking news and live events in the field
• Deliver professional on-air reports and contribute to newscasts
• Create and promote content across digital and social platforms
• Build relationships throughout the communities we serve
• Collaborate with reporters, producers, photographers and editors
• Opportunities may also exist to participate in college and high school sports coverage

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone curious, motivated and passionate about local journalism. You should have strong writing and communication skills, good news judgment, high ethical standards and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving newsroom.

A degree in journalism, broadcasting or a related field is preferred, but we're interested in talent and potential as much as the résumé. Recent graduates and early-career journalists are encouraged to apply.
