The Daily Press in St. Marys, PA is looking for an enthusiastic Community News Reporter to cover the people, events, schools, businesses, sports, and local government that make St. Marys unique.

Responsibilities include:

• Covering community events and local meetings
• Writing news and feature stories
• Taking photographs at events
• Interviewing community members
• Helping keep our readers informed about what matters most

We are looking for someone who:

• Enjoys talking with people
• Has strong writing and communication skills
• Is organized and dependable
• Can meet deadlines
• Has basic computer skills

Previous journalism experience is a plus—but not necessary. We will train the right person with a positive attitude and a passion for community journalism.
