Description:
Sound Publishing Inc. is
seeking a General Assignment Reporter to write for the Whidbey News-Times. This
position is based out of Whidbey Island. The schedule may require evening
and/or weekend work.
We are looking for a team player willing to get
involved in the local community through the publication of the twice-weekly
newspaper and web journalism. The right candidate will have a commitment to
community journalism; be able to spot emerging issues and trends; and write
clean, balanced and accurate stories that dig deeper than simple features.
Candidates must have a degree in journalism or
related experience. Must be proficient with AP style and have a good eye for
photography.
