General Reporter - The Lancaster News
The Lancaster News, Lancaster, SC, an award-winning community newspaper is seeking a motivated General Reporter to join our newsroom. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about local storytelling and committed to keeping the community informed.
Responsibilities include:
- Covering local government, schools, business and community events
- Writing clear, accurate and engaging news stories on deadline
- Conducting interviews and developing sources and relationships
- Attending evening meetings and occasional weekend assignments
- Taking photographs
- Contributing story ideas that reflect community interests
Qualifications:
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
