The Texas Press Association is seeking an executive director to champion the Texas newspaper industry.

Founded in 1880, TPA represents more than 350 newspapers across the Lone Star State.

Our next executive director will lead a dedicated team of six to:

OVERSEE affairs of the Texas Press Association, Texas Press Service Inc. and the Texas Newspaper Foundation.

MANAGE robust financial portfolios including advertising sales networks, the Texas Newspaper Foundation, educational workshops and a $3.5M+ investment reserve fund.

ADVOCATE for legislative priorities through TPA’s Legislative Advocacy Program

COLLABORATE with members and partners to inspire newspapers of all sizes — from small-town community weeklies to major metro dailies.

PARTNER with a Board of Directors to drive long-term vision.

CONNECT with Texas journalism schools and foster alliances with other trade associations.
