Reporter: General assignment position focused largely on law enforcement (courts, police, state troopers and Coast Guard), local government and natural resource reporting. Great opportunity for a career-minded, efficient, productive reporter. Something new and unique to write about every day in Alaska’s fourth largest city, which not only serves the community of 13,000 but the one million-plus visitors during the spring, summer and fall tourist season. 40 hours weekly for a 5-day, morning print publication — and 7-day online edition — in Ketchikan, Alaska. Island living in the Tongass National Forest, a place conducive to an outdoor lifestyle, but a community also known for its visual arts and entertainment.  There is no other place like this.
