Description:
At Beaver Dam Partners, we think successful
community journalism is an engaging report – online and in print – that is read
and enjoyed and trusted by pretty much everyone in town. We want our writing to
always be tight, bright, right and timely. Our display – online and in print – needs
to be lively and engaging and demonstrate that we know our communities.
We’re 16 years old and publish
four free community newspapers and related websites on the South Coast of
Massachusetts. But exactly how we do things is constantly evolving.
We’re looking for bright,
energetic reporters and “writing editors” who enjoy embedding themselves in a
community; can quickly write a succinct, engaging, accessible-to-all lead; and are
excited to help build 21st century community journalism.
Top-notch writing skills,
boundless curiosity, focused energy, and an ability to get things done quickly
and well are essential. Journalism training and/or experience is valued but not
essential. Be ready to work hard, think a lot, and have some fun along the
way!
All applicants must be willing to relocate to our community. You can’t be local without being local!
Interested? Please send a resume
and cover letter to anne@beaverdampartners.com.
