Description:

We’re building a digital-first weather platform designed for YouTube and social—fast, clear, and built around how audiences actually consume content today.

This is an early-stage, contract role based in Nashville. You’ll be a core on-air presence and help define how we deliver weather in a modern, digital environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver daily weather coverage across YouTube and social platforms
  • Provide rapid, real-time coverage during major weather events
  • Translate complex meteorological data into clear, engaging content
  • Test and iterate on formats (long-form, short-form, live)
  • Contribute to content planning, segments, and recurring series
  • Engage with audience feedback, questions, and trends
  • Help shape the voice and presentation style of the channel

Who You Are:

  • Strong foundation in forecast modeling (GFS, ECMWF, NAM), radar and satellite analysis, and severe weather forecasting, including synoptic and mesoscale meteorology
  • Ability to interpret data quickly and communicate it in a clear, accessible way
  • Experience producing or delivering weather forecasts on any platform
  • Confident on camera, or able to develop on-air presence quickly
  • Clear, direct communicator who avoids unnecessary jargon
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, test-and-learn environment
  • Self-starter who operates with speed and accountability

  • Strong perspective on how weather coverage can evolve

Helpful, But Not Required:

  • AMS CBM or NWA Seal
  • Prior on-air experience (TV, streaming, or digital)
  • Experience covering live or severe weather
  • Basic production skills (camera, lighting, audio)
  • Existing audience or content presence
