BoiseDev is looking for a dynamic reporter who likes to chase scoops, develop tips into great stories, and finds it exciting to put new information out into the world. We are a family-owned, fast-growing local news business serving readers in southwest Idaho. We put facts and original reporting at the forefront, and our mission is to put readers first. We offer strong pay and benefits, including closing for Christmas break and more. Our team of reporters takes pride in producing unique and unduplicated stories. For this role, we are seeking someone with an interest in helping drive coverage of growth, business, government and the environment. Qualifications:

• Two years or more as a reporter or related occupation
• Knowledge of the greater Boise area, or desire to put down roots in the Treasure Valley
• Demonstrated understanding of the use of public records to produce strong factual foundations for stories
• Understanding of computer-aided reporting techniques, including large language models
• Ability to utilize social media tools for story listening
• Desire to produce content across multiple mediums, including text and video
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  

This position pays between $55,000 and $60,000 per year.
