🚨 We’re Hiring: Freelance Multiplatform Producer 🚨
📍 NBC4 Los Angeles | NBCUniversal Local

NBC4 Los Angeles is looking for an experienced Freelance Multiplatform Producer to join our newsroom and help deliver compelling local news across linear and digital platforms.

This is a temporary freelance role, expected to last up to 3 months, with the possibility of extension based on business needs.

What You’ll Do

  • Produce newscasts for broadcast and streaming channels
  • Write and edit content across all platforms
  • Craft strong, compelling teases
  • Curate and prioritize content for a dynamic, engaging newscast
  • Pitch enterprise story ideas that reflect the needs and interests of our local communities
  • Collaborate with Executive Producers and Show Producers to deliver fair, accurate, and impactful coverage

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years producing a daily newscast in a major market
  • Strong writing, producing, and desktop editing skills
  • Proficiency with newsroom production systems and broadcast technology
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the Los Angeles news market
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Deep interest in current events, politics, and pop culture
  • Comfort producing across multiple platforms
  • Curiosity around emerging technologies and new storytelling approaches

Additional Details

  • On‑site role in Universal City, CA
  • Pay range: $30–$50/hour
  • Must be willing to be contracted through YOH for payroll processing
  • Valid driver’s license and unrestricted U.S. work authorization required
