Description:

Trade Law Daily, the leading independent publication dealing with the news and information needs of customs lawyers, importers, exporters and policymakers, seeks an enterprising reporter to write about customs and international trade issues, including court challenges of the Trump administration’s tariffs, trade remedy proceedings and trade enforcement.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated. They should be able to thrive in a daily deadline news environment and should have the judgment to decide what needs to be covered to inform an audience of top lawyers and industry and government officials.

The successful applicant will be expected to write stories focused on the arguments and outcomes in cases at the Court of International Trade and the Federal Circuit, as well as forward-looking enterprise stories on legal issues and trends and important court cases.

If you want to work in a collaborative newsroom where you can pursue the most important stories about trade law, please send a cover letter, two to three of your best enterprise clips and scoops on any subject and resume to bfeito@warren-news.com.

The position is remote, though applicants should be located in D.C., Maryland or Virginia. The salary range for the position is $50,000 to $80,000, dependent on experience.

Competitive compensation package includes salary, 401(k) eligibility after 1 year of service with 50% employer match, paid federal holidays and other vacation time, health/dental insurance, and eligibility for annual bonus.
