Social Media Video Producer/Strategist 

Full-Time

Location: Remote


NTD, the sister media of The Epoch Times, is looking for a Social Media Producer to join our Washington, D.C. bureau and drive the distribution and growth of our political coverage across digital social media platforms.


This role is focused on maximizing reach and engagement- turning daily reporting into consistent, high-performing social content

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow the daily social media presence for our political coverage across YouTube, X, Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms
  • Create short-form video clips from interviews, press briefings, and political coverage
  • Write compelling captions, headlines, and hooks that encourage viewers to watch, share, and engage
  • Quickly turn breaking news and original reporting into social-ready content
  • Collaborate closely with reporters, producers, and video editors
  • Track content performance and adjust strategy based on audience engagement and platform trends


Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and how audiences consume news online
  • Good editorial judgment and the ability to identify compelling moments in political coverage
  • Familiarity with national politics and current events
  • Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced newsroom environment


Preferred Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in social media, digital journalism, or video content production
  • Experience creating or producing short-form video content for social platforms
  • Understanding of digital storytelling, audience growth, and platform trends
  • Experience working with video editors or production teams is a plus
