Description:

Most internships give you busy work.

This one hands you a shot!

The Buffalo Bulletin — a national award-winning newspaper in Buffalo, Wyoming, at the foot of the Bighorn Mountains — is hiring a college intern to work in both editorial and marketing.

You’ll report, write, shoot photos, help grow audience and spearhead the launch of a glossy feature magazine.

Not sit in.

Not shadow.

Build.

This is not a summer of coffee runs, rewrites and low-stakes filler. It is hands-on work at a paper that expects you to contribute. You’ll leave with real bylines, real responsibility and a portfolio that shows you can do more than talk a good game.

And then there is Buffalo.

More than a million acres of national forest to explore.  World-class fishing, hiking, camping and climbing. A real mountain town with actual access to the outdoors — not the kind you post about, the kind you live.

This is a place for someone who wants both: serious work and real adventure.

People who have worked here have gone on to ESPN, Politico E&E, major news outlets, leadership roles in communications for major colleges and state agencies, federal judge clerks and a law professor.

Compensation

$5,000 for a 10-week internship, running June 1 through Aug. 10, at 32 hours per week.
