Description:

Raw America — Raw Story and Really American’s people-powered response to the billionaire capture of American media — is hiring Breaking News Hosts for YouTube. 

Hosts will produce regular news segments breaking down current political events for a multi-platform, progressive audience in the vein of other YouTube news personalities like Brian Tyler Cohen, MeidasTouch, David Pakman, Luke Beasley and similar channels. Videos produced for the channel should be a minimum of 8-minutes long, including added clips. The ideal candidates will have their own camera equipment, computer, and familiarity with video editing software like Adobe Premiere. Hosts will be expected to produce new videos daily, to have energetic and charismatic on-camera presentation, and to be able to speak comfortably and at-length about current political events. Candidates should be able to edit their own videos.

Both full-time and part-time applications will be considered. Pay is negotiable and dependent upon experience and output. While hosts will receive floor compensation for each video, financial incentives are available for successful hosts. Hosts will be initially classified as independent contractors. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis.

VALUED EXPERIENCE (NOT NECESSARY):

Four-year degree in journalism, broadcast journalism, or political science; professional experience in broadcast journalism and/or media production; experience with YouTube and/or TikTok; competence in Adobe Premiere, Final Cut and/or Adobe Creative Suite; competence in public speaking
