Part time Freelance Reporter

Description:

Quickly growing newspaper, financially stable, looking for a journalist with national and/or international news experience using credible sources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Remote reporting on Connecticut politics, town meetings, events, human interest stories.

• Specialty in national or international reporting. 

• Conduct interviews and investigative reporting. 

• Write clear, compelling news stories on deadline.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field preferred.

• Excellent writing, interviewing and research skills.

• Strong knowledge of AP style and journalistic ethics.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.

• Strong editorial experience, a plus.
