About
Us
The Jewish Star, a 24-year-old brand, is a division of Richner
Communications, a 60-year-old family-run business that is one of New York
State’s largest independently owned local media companies (including the
Pulitzer Prize-winning Riverdale Press, 27 Herald newspapers on Long Island,
numerous digital products, events programming, and its own printing plant).
Successful alumni have enjoyed superstar media careers. You will not find a
more professional growth opportunity in Jewish media in the New York area.
The
Jewish Star features news and opinion that matters to Modern Orthodox
communities in Metro New York (Long Island, Queens, Manhattan’s Upper East Side
and Upper West Side, Riverdale and Westchester).
While proudly Jewish, Zionist and American, The Jewish Star (under
the banner of “Honest Reporting and Torah-True”) is committed to
journalistic integrity and professionalism.
