Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with newsroom leadership to set and bring to life an editorial vision that inspires.
- Oversee daily and enterprise reporting, special projects, and editorials.
- Guide and mentor reporters producing impactful, award-winning journalism
- Use audience analytics to inform coverage and engagement.
- Manage staffing, hiring, and newsroom planning.
- Be a visible, trusted leader and engage directly with the community through public forums.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or related field
- Minimum five years of newsroom leadership experience
- Strong news judgment, leadership, and mentoring skills
- Knowledge of media law and public records
- Commitment to fair, accurate, and community-focused journalism
