Description:
The Underscore Indigenous Journalism Fellowship is designed to help equip and encourage the next generation of Indigenous journalists. Each summer, we host and train a collegiate journalism student or early-career journalist for an immersive paid 10-week internship, giving the fellow professional experience, fully paid housing and a scholarship upon completion of the fellowship. The program emphasizes reporting and writing, with some opportunities for visual and social media journalism.
