Description:

Herald-Banner Publications is seeking an energetic sports writer to join their award-winning newsrooms and highlight Rockwall and Hunt counties.

Apply if you have sports newsroom experience, versatile journalism skills (writing, editing, story-telling, design and pagination), print and digital background and the ability to cover sporting events, breaking news, features and generate content that readers both want and need. 

The sports writer must be self-motivated and community-oriented, connecting with our readers through social media and personal access. 

Dependable transportation is required, experience with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop are a plus.

The coverage area includes all Rockwall and Hunt County sports. The sports writer is also responsible for managing stringers to help cover games.
