We have an immediate opening for an energetic and talented journalist to lead our newsroom located in Quincy, Illinois. The right person will be involved in the community and will be able to oversee the generation of ideas and storytelling that engage our print, digital, newsletter and social audiences. Our publication in Quincy is a 5-day daily that publishes in print twice a week, and we also produce complete E-editions three other days per week. This person will also oversee news efforts for our sister publication in Hannibal, Missouri. He or she will lead news planning for our experienced staff and be willing to contribute to news efforts when needed to hit all deadlines. They will also interact with a talented sales team and work closely with our off-site designers to deliver quality news products that grow our audiences. Our office is located in beautiful Quincy, a community of 40,000 news lovers that overlooks the Mississippi River. Our residents experience all four seasons, complete with mild summers and some of the most gorgeous fall foliage here in the Heartland.
