Description:
Firecrown is seeking a visionary, digitally-forward Executive Producer & Anchor to lead the creative, editorial, and distribution strategy for FreightWaves TV (FWTV) — including our flagship Morning Show and the broader network of freight, logistics, and supply chain programming.
This is not a traditional anchor role. This is a network leadership position responsible for defining what stories get told, how they’re told, and how they reach the market.
You will serve as the on-air face of the Morning Show while also owning the programming, editorial standards, production quality, and digital distribution model across FWTV. The goal is to build a modern, high-impact business news network for the freight industry — one that is fast, relevant, data-driven, and built for social, streaming, and industry decision-makers.
You will have access to FreightWaves’ proprietary SONAR high-frequency freight and supply chain data, giving you a unique ability to turn market intelligence into daily news, narratives, and programming that move the industry.
Location: Chattanooga, TN (In-Studio)
Core Responsibilities:
Network Leadership & Editorial Strategy
- Own FWTV’s Content Vision: Define the editorial strategy, programming standards, and creative direction across all FreightWaves TV shows, not just the Morning Show.
- Story Selection & Programming: Lead daily and weekly story selection, ensuring coverage is timely, relevant, data-driven, and positioned for industry impact and digital distribution.
- Network Standards: Establish and enforce quality, pacing, and production standards across anchors, producers, and contributors.
- Product Thinking: Help shape FWTV as a media business — balancing audience growth, sponsor value, and brand authority in the freight and logistics market.
Morning Show – On-Air Leadership
- Anchor the Flagship Show: Host the Morning Show live at 9:00 AM ET, delivering market-moving freight news, data insights, and interviews with industry leaders.
- Market Intelligence: Translate SONAR data and freight trends into clear, compelling narratives for executives, operators, and investors.
- Brand Voice: Set the tone and personality of FreightWaves’ daily broadcast presence across platforms.
Production & Team Leadership
- Lead the Production Team: Direct producers, editors, and on-air contributors to execute against the network’s editorial and creative vision.
- Show Development: Develop new formats, segments, and recurring franchises that expand FWTV’s relevance and monetization potential.
- Workflow Optimization: Improve speed, quality, and consistency of daily production and post-production processes.
Distribution & Social Strategy
- Own Digital Distribution: Design and execute a modern content distribution strategy across LinkedIn, X, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and emerging platforms.
- Clipping & Repurposing Engine: Ensure every show produces high-quality, high-impact short-form content for social, newsletters, and sales enablement.
- Audience Growth: Build systems for growing reach, engagement, and influence within the freight, logistics, and supply chain ecosystem.
- Community Presence: Position FWTV as a daily digital meeting place for industry conversation and commentary.
Business & Brand Collaboration
- Partner with Revenue Teams: Align programming and content strategy with sponsorship, events, and branded content opportunities.
- Brand Authority: Strengthen FreightWaves’ position as the leading media and intelligence platform for the freight economy.
Required Qualifications:
- Leadership Experience: Experience running or programming a news operation, digital network, or broadcast newsroom (local, national, or industry-specific).
- On-Air Authority: Proven experience as an anchor, host, or senior broadcast journalist.
- Digital-First Mindset: Deep understanding of social platforms, short-form content strategy, and modern media distribution.
- Editorial Instincts: Strong news judgment and the ability to consistently identify stories that matter to business and industry audiences.
- Industry Curiosity: Ability to quickly master freight, logistics, and supply chain economics and speak credibly with executives and operators.
- Location Requirement: Must work in-studio in Chattanooga, TN.
- Education: Degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field preferred.
