Editor/Enterprise
New Orleans
The
Times-Picayune | NOLA.com is seeking a Managing Editor/Enterprise to join
one of Louisiana’s largest news organizations. The editor in this role will
have the responsibility of cultivating and overseeing much of our enterprise
coverage across Louisiana.
This editor
will work closely with the Managing Editors in each of our newsrooms and in
particular our Features editors to consistently publish the kinds of distinct,
compelling, human stories that we so often see do well in terms of page views
and digital subscriptions.
Along with
directly supervising several reporters, this editor will focus on a range of
statewide coverage initiatives, such as our Inspired and Health sections, as
well as working to make our premier print edition on Sundays stronger.
What We’re Looking For

Proven
experience as a newsroom editor, ideally in a fast-paced environment.

Strong
editorial judgment, writing, and structural editing skills with a keen eye for
accuracy and tone.

Passion
for New Orleans — its communities, culture, and complex civic landscape.

Facility
with digital storytelling, multimedia collaboration and audience engagement
strategies.

A
collaborative, empathetic leader who can coach and inspire reporters with a
range of experience levels and interests.
