The Timberjay a weekly newspaper in northern St. Louis County, serving the communities of Tower, Soudan, Cook, Orr, Ely, Babbitt, and surrounding townships. Published every Saturday with a circulation of about 3,500, the Timberjay serves as the official newspaper for the city of Tower and numerous area townships including Vermilion Lake, Bearville, Morcom, Leiding, Eagles Nest, Field, Embarrass, Kabetogama, and Kugler.

Position:

The local government reporter will provide essential oversight of rural local officials' decisions and keep communities informed about the actions of their elected leaders.

Salary and Benefits: $40,000

A $3,000 health insurance stipend. Two weeks' vacation, company-issued laptop, Simple IRA with 3% company match
