Position:

Chesterfield County, Virginia has nearly 400,000 people, but no news outlet regularly covers its people or government. The county, which serves as a suburb to Richmond, has grown to be 10% Hispanic, and is grappling with a number of issues, including density and development, data centers, the presence of ICE and housing affordability. It was recently announced that the nation's first nuclear fusion power plant will be built there. Our reporter will talk to residents and tell their stories, so they can be heard by policymakers and other citizens.

Salary and Benefits: $52,000-60,000

We have fully employer-paid health, dental and vision insurance. We have a flexible vacation policy, with employees encouraged to take at least two weeks off annually.

Moving Stipend: We can provide a stipend of up to $1,000 for documented expenses.
