The Georgia Trust for Local News is seeking a dynamic Executive Director / Publisher to lead one of the most ambitious local-news transformation efforts in the country.

The Georgia Trust operates a growing portfolio of community newsrooms across central Georgia, serving towns and cities where strong local journalism is essential to civic life. This role is about building a sustainable business that enables that mission to thrive.

What this role does:

• Own top-line revenue growth and expense management

• Deliver financial stability through disciplined budgeting and forecasting

• Lead advertising, consumer revenue, events, and new product development

• Modernize operations using data, technology, and clear performance goals

• Serve as the public face of the Georgia Trust with advertisers, funders, and community leaders

• Partner closely with the National Trust for Local News and a local board

• A proven senior leader with strong P&L experience

• A track record of growing and diversifying revenue

• Someone comfortable leading change in complex, mission-driven organizations

• A clear communicator who believes deeply in the value of local journalism
