6pm News Anchor/ Multi-Media Journalist – 21 WFMJ has
an opening for a weekday 6pm news anchor
who will also be responsible for daily reporting. Previous anchor
experience is preferred but not required. Applicant will anchor daily
newscasts with a professional and unbiased presence with a commitment to
journalistic ethics. Applicant will also shoot, write, and edit daily
stories under deadline, develop stories, cultivate sources, and post stories to
the web as well as maintain a professional social media presence. There
are opportunities to cover breaking news in this fast-paced news town as well
as contribute to investigative reporting. You'll learn from a team of
experienced news managers who are passionate about helping develop new talent.
Applicants should have a grasp of the news cycle, a strong work ethic, and time
management skills. A bachelor's degree in journalism or a related
