The Telegraph Herald, an award-winning, employee-owned daily newspaper in Dubuque, Iowa, is seeking a Multimedia Specialist to join our vibrant newsroom. We are looking for a storyteller who is as organized as they are creative to help us produce the best news products in the state.

The Role

Working within our photojournalism department, you’ll help us bridge the gap between print and digital. You will:

• Capture the community: Shoot and tone photos and produce videos for news and feature stories, magazines and events.

• Assist with local events: Oversee livestreaming and A/V needs for signature events like Rising Stars and First Citizen.

• Innovate: Tackle special projects in digital storytelling that highlight the people of Dubuque.

• Create advertising: Work with local advertisers to help tell their stories. 

What You’ll Bring

• A professional edge: We are seeking a team player who represents the TH with a positive, customer-friendly attitude.

• Technical chops: Looking for someone with a solid grasp of digital photography and videography. Experience with computer-based photo production equipment is a major plus.

• Reliability: This role requires juggling multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. A valid driver’s license and basic typing skills are required.

• Experience: At least one year of college or professional media experience. We love seeing fresh talent—new grads are encouraged to apply.
