Job Title: Multimedia Reporter
Job Summary:
The Marietta Daily Journal is seeking an energetic and versatile Multimedia Reporter. This full-time position is ideal for a strong storyteller who excels in traditional reporting and is equally comfortable producing video content and occasionally appearing on air. The successful candidate will cover breaking news, enterprise, feature stories and beat reporting to produce content across print, digital, video, broadcast and social media platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Report, write, and fact-check daily news stories for print and digital publication
Cover beats as assigned.
Shoot and edit video and still photo content for website, social media, and broadcast platforms
Appear on camera as needed for live or recorded segments
Conduct interviews in person, by phone, and on camera
Use social media to report, promote stories, and engage audiences
Adhere to journalistic ethics and newsroom standards
Some holiday and weekend work required
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Strong reporting, writing, and editing skills
Experience shooting and editing video; familiarity with basic broadcast production preferred
On-camera presence and clear, professional delivery
Comfort working flexible hours, including nights and weekends as news demands
Position available February 2026.
