Description:
The Los Altos Town Crier, an award-winning community newspaper, is seeking a Copy Editor to help maintain the accuracy, clarity, and quality of our local journalism.
Responsibilities include:
Editing and proofreading articles for grammar, clarity, accuracy, and consistency
Ensuring content adheres to AP style and Town Crier standards
Checking facts, headlines, captions, and layouts
Working closely with reporters, editors, and designers to meet deadlines
Editing both print, digital content, and magazines
Qualifications:
Strong command of grammar and AP style
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Previous copy editing or journalism experience preferred
Ability to work under deadline
Familiarity with community news a plus
Position: Part-time
Location: Los Altos / Remote
