Description:
Smart + Strong is looking for an editorial assistant to work remotely and part-time for its print and online publications. The ideal candidate should have at least one to three years of experience at a consumer magazine and website. The candidate should possess excellent written and oral communications skills; be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment; have superior organizational skills; and be self-motivated. A working knowledge of HIV, hepatitis, cancer or health issues for communities of color is a plus.
Our brands: POZ, Cancer Health, Hep, Real Health, Tu Salud, COVID Health
Responsibilities may include:
- Writing and editing for print and online
- Developing story ideas for print and online
- Trafficking articles through the editing process
- Following health- and fitness-related news
- Assist with social media
- Assist other editors with research
- Provide editorial/administrative support
This is a part-time, freelance position and does not include benefits.
