The News-Enterprise, an award-winning daily newspaper in Hardin County, Ky., is seeking an experienced, skilled journalist and newsroom leader to serve as editor.

This is a hands-on position. In addition to directing a team of reporters and correspondents in developing news, sports and feature coverage, the editor serves as lead news reporter, producing compelling content and illustrations for print and digital platforms. The newspaper is interested in individuals who understand and value community journalism, come with ideas and initiative and are serious about reaching out to attract new readers,


Hardin County is 40 miles south of Louisville along Interstate 65 and is known for its road network, industrial base and connection with the military community at Fort Knox. More than 150,000 people live in the primary coverage area which includes the state's 10th and 16th largest cities. both in print and online. This is an opportunity for an ambitious, enterprising journalist who is serious about moving up in the news business.


The News-Enterprise is a six-day publication and part of a regional group with other newspapers where content is shared and collaborate on projects including sports coverage. 


This is an exempt status, full-time position with benefits.
