Description:
Alaska Public Media is searching for a creative, motivated and digitally-minded journalist to join our newsroom as a digital producer and reporter. This unique, hybrid role blends digital strategy with on-the-ground reporting, making it ideal for a journalist who thrives both behind the scenes and in the field.
As a digital producer, you’ll work closely with our managing editors to shape how we publish and promote our journalism online. You'll help lead our digital publishing and audience engagement strategy — writing sharp headlines, selecting compelling visuals, crafting effective social media posts and ensuring our stories are optimized to reach and resonate with Alaskans across platforms.
As a reporter, you'll keep your finger on the pulse of what Alaskans are talking about. You'll pitch and produce original stories that speak directly to our audience's interests — with a strong sense of what performs well digitally and why.

The role is based in Anchorage, with flexibility to work remotely part of the time.
At Alaska Public Media, we prioritize work-life balance and foster collaborative, in-depth journalism across our statewide public radio network. Alaska Public Media is the largest public media organization in the state and is the NPR and PBS source for Southcentral Alaska.
