Description:
WOOD-TV is looking for
an aggressive, innovative, and creative news producer to join our team. This
role puts you on the cutting edge of journalism in West Michigan. You’ll
produce TV newscasts. And you’ll coordinate the development of original
content programs and breaking news coverage on the WOODTV+ streaming
platform. You need to be a dynamic writer. You also need to be a
calming voice in high stress situations. The Producer, under the guidance
of the Executive Producer, organizes and writes the on-air newscast, deciding
the order in which stories will be told and how each story will be presented,
all under strict deadlines. You’ll also lay out a plan for streaming
programs we air daily on WOODTV+. Candidates must be willing to work overnights
and weekends.
