Lee Enterprises, a leading provider of local news with more than 70 properties nationwide, is seeking a dynamic Alabama editor to oversee the Opelika-Auburn News and Dothan Eagle. This is a high-impact leadership role that drives coverage, engagement and innovation. 

What you’ll do

Lead coverage: Set the editorial vision and direct daily and enterprise reporting across both newsrooms.

Grow digital audience: Drive subscription growth and engagement with innovative strategies and multimedia storytelling.

Be the public face: Build trust through editor columns, listening sessions and community events.

Mentor and inspire: Develop and coach a talented team, fostering a collaborative newsroom culture.

• Proven newsroom leader with strong news judgment and experience managing across print, digital and social platforms.
